Canoeing

Our holiday homes are near the rivers the Chassezac and the Ardèche.

We can organise canoe trips for half a day or the entire day.

The Ardeche is a dream for bikers! Beautiful roads!

We are centrally located to do a lot of trips.( ride to the Alps, the mont Ventoux, the meditarian, and nearby the gorges of the Ardeche and the Chassezac.

Walking and cycling

The Ardeche is a paradise for walkers and cyclists
The roads are calm ( exept in July and August) and really spectacular
For ex. at 20 km the Gorges de l’Ardèche , 10 km the Gorges du Chassezac  et 3 km du bois de Païolive.

The Ardeche has a rich culture and history

In the medieval villages   Banne, Balazuc, Naves, Vogué, Vinezac, Labeaume…….you can take a trip back in time…

Markets
You can visit a morning or evening market every day with local and artisanal pruducts

There are also on a regulary base artisanal and antique markets in the area.

Museums and castels
And of couse there are a lot of museums and castels you can visit to understand more how life was back in time.
Chateaux de Vogué, Château la Bastide de Virac, Château de Chassagne….
Museum of chestnuts in Joyeuse, museum of lavendel in St Martin d’Ardèche….

Caves
There are many caves discovered in the area:
Grotte de la Cocalière, l’Aven d’Orgnac, grotte de la Madeleine,…
The most famous one is the grotte de Chauvet , the oldest cave discovered in the world, classified together with the Pont d’Arc in the patrimonium  of the UNESCO. And has been entirely reconstructed in the caverne du Pont D’arc

Wine tasting
The Ardèche is also known for its wines:
red wine : Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
White wine :  Chardonnay and  Viognier
Rosé :  Gris de Grenache
